I have a parent dashboard (.xlf) and i'm trying to launch another .xlf (child) from the main dashboard using OpenDocURL.
Is it possible to pass Query Parameters from parent to the child using OpenDocURL ?
If not , how we can do it ? . I don't want to use SWF loader to load the child dashboard.
I'm using SAP Dashboard 4.1 SP4.

hi, I created a file using SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards 4.1 Support Pact 3 version:14.1.3.1257. I exported it to a .swf file but I need to make it 508 compliant for posting on our internet site. “508” is the law requiring internet content to be make accessible to the visually impaired. Are there settings in the Dashbd tool that will make the underlying data in the file “readable” to a screen reader (eg, JAWS) that’s used by the blind/visually impaired? Thanks,

Hi friends,
I've got a requirement for preparing dashboards, where i have to use label menu for showing different units data using bar charts.
so when i am giving those unit names(18 units) for label menu list, label names on dashboards are missing i.e are appearing partially in menu.
in clear
if unit name is: network -> netwo. i think these names are missing partially because of label size. i tried to maximise(width) of labels buts its not working.
so what should i do to get complete names on label menu for all units.
please assist me in this.....

Did anyone find any alternative to switching universes for dashboards?
For Web Intelligence, there is a provision but it is not possible to do in Dashboards.
Apart from creating your query from the scratch with new universe, if anybody has tried any workaround then please let me know.

you can update the document properties of your dashboard to set a global custom canvas size and set a global font for all in your dashboard

I am building a dashboard in Dashboards 4.1 using Live Office connections. The initial summary view contains multiple charts, labels, customized image components, etc. which have all been grouped into one component. The user needs to able to filter the dashboard based on "Dept Name", "Employee Type" and "Month".
Now, to filter on "Dept Name", there are 5 different check boxes provided for each department inside a pie chart. Based on the selection, all the data in the dashboard will change. The way I am thinking of achieving this is by creating 5 copies of the initial grouped component and then setting dynamic visibility on each based on the check box selection. I will also change the data mapping for each copy of the grouped component.
Similarly, I am thinking about doing the same for the filter for "Employee Type" & "Month"
My question is - Is this a good method to achieve the task ? Will it cause any performance issues ?

I want to put a "Push button" component on top of the image component so that, when the user clicks on the push button, the dashboard will be printed. I am new to Xcelsius Dashboard and currently we are using SAP BO 4.0 and I am struggling with one scenario where we have to link our dashboard to ECC (R/3 System) to see the current data.
Our Requirements is to see the data with every single id. Also our system connectivity would be ECC - BW (BEx Query) - Xcelsius Dashboard. Dashboard will be on Bex query but the user wants to go from dashboard to ECC and we can not bring any other software like WebiReport, Crystal.
When user will select a document no. in the Dashboard, we have to go into the ECC screen and display the select document information.
For example:
When Contract ID 1 is chosen. the drilldown will go to:
When Contract ID 2 is chosen. the drilldown will go to:
When Project ID 1 is chosen, then the drilldown will go to:
Any input would be helpful.

How if I want to create different views of the one dashboard created with Xcelsius based on the user permissions. Suppose I have 10 Projects information in the dashboard. I want one group of users to see first 5 projects in the dashboard and another group of users to see another 5 projects detail only. It would be very helpful for me. Thanks

I want to log on to BI Platform in Dashboard Design, for example "Save to Platform" or use the "Query Builder". All login attemps/possibilties are not successful.
Our architecture is: Dashboard Design 4.0 SP02 (Client) => Citrix Server/Environment => BI Platform (BO-Server)
The login from Client (access to Dashboard Design on Citrix) is not successful. The Login from Citrix, where Dashboard Design is installed, is successfull. The Error message on Client side doesn't help: "Internal Error: Unknown exception".
The BO Client Tools 4.0 SP02 are also installed on Citrix Server. The Login from Client side is there successful. So there can't be a network problem, or? Only Login from Dashboard Design fails...
Has anybody an idea to solve my problem? Thanks in advance.

I have created a dashboard (BO 4.1) with a Summary view. It contains 5 charts.
One of the column charts gives monthly project count. The data is coming from a Webi cross tab (Live Office) as shown below.
The highlighted yellow cells is the source data for the chart.

Now, there is a check box that the user clicks that opens up a "List Builder" component where the user gets to select the "Product".
Based on the "Product" selection, I want the column chart to display the respective data from the table above.
Could anyone help me achieve this in the most efficient way?
Note -
Later, I also want to add a "Radio Button" for "Emp Type" and another "List Builder" for "Month". So, total 3 selectors. The other charts have their own sets of data.

I am trying to create a BI web Service in One of my finance dashboard.
By using BI Web service i wanted to optimize the bex query.
but the problem is the moment i will save this Dashboard on server.xcelsius is crashing.
I am unable to address this issue.Can anyone give some idea?

I tried with Universe and Bex query.But in both of the case it is crashing while uploading on server.
And the same thing is working Fine with preview Mode of Dashboard.

BOBJ Server Version - SAP 4.1 SP5
Please Guide me for the same issue.

We have GL accounts list and its amount values.Based on the company slection some gl accounts will have data and others will not have the data.But if some gl acccount doesn't have the data then it should not diplay in spread sheet/scorecard of the dashboard.We have taken the company as the prompt.But how to achieve the display of only required gl data for the selection of company.

During accessing report under BOBJ in Internet Explorer. I am getting an error of #2032. I searched in internet for solution, which all implied with the problem in IE but I updated/ reinstalled the IE. But still the problem exists. Can you please suggest to resolve this problem.

I am trying to create a Dashboard with WebService connections in SAP BI4.0 SP04. While running the dashboard I am receiving the error, Cannot build the query or generate the report. I have already set the refresh parameter to TRUE (bound to an excel cell and I have tried with 1 also). Back end WebI Reports of the BIWS connections are created from BEx queries through BICS connection. I have two prompts to run the Web Service and the report. Please share your thoughts regarding this.
