This is probably best dealt with if I can sort out the problem outlined in my previous question. For the time being, I have a time series displayed over around 1700 data points that happen to be dates 5they are not all consecutive as this is financial data and there is no data for week-ends and bank holidays). I tried using the range slider to see if it would help with the performance issue of displaying 1700 data points at once. But try as I may, I cannot get the range to down to say a year. The only thing that works is reducing the range manually in preview mode, but then I don't get a reading on the poition values that reduced range implies. When I get back to the spreadsheet in xcelsius, the default values are back. So I played with the default values, a lot, but the range is always full to start with. What am I doing wrong? I have not tried using the category label to limit the range because I don't know how that works with dates and the help manual doesn't mention it at all (in fact, there are no examples at all in the manual about the range slider).
I would appreciate your suggestions again.
Thank you
Chris
