Passing query prompt selection to different cube

Hi:

I am using Dashboards 4.1 SP5 and admit I am fairly new to it and SSAS.

I have a query prompt selector using a "paid date" hierarchy as the source prompt from an SSAS cube.   I would like to have a second destination prompt to a query that is bound to another cube with an identically structured date hierarchy but with a different name (just "date").

I have tried to rename my dimension in the universe business layer to match but an MDX error is returned from SSAS directly.  Is there a solution to this other than creating a new dimension in my cube with the same name?  I would like to avoid this if possible since it is not really a "paid date" in the second cube.
