I work for a major chemical company and we would like to present our KPI's in Dashboards to our sites around the world.
I'm in charge of developing the Dashboard and I'm researching why we should use SAP Crystal instead of Excel.
Earlier today I spoke with a sales rep. and she explained to me a little bit about Crystal, but when I made her some technical questions she asked me to post here, so here it goes:
One of the main questions my managers ask me is "why we should use SAP, paid, if we can use Excel, free?"
I did find some answers online, but I would like a more professional answers and I know here is the place.
Also, I have very little knowledge about Pivot Tables in Excel, so after I obtain Crystal what should I do? What's the basic knowledge I should have to be able to use Crystal propperly?
Can I just get my KPI's from excel and throw it into the software to generate the graphs?
Well, why should I go for Crystal?
I hope I can get the answers here and "justify" why we should go for SAP!
