My question lies on generating SWF automatically either from XLF or previously generated SWF.
I have read about batch utility as option to generate SWF using previously generated SWF and excel data file. However, I could not find batch.exe.
We have set of sales executives scattered across geography who use the SWF based sales review reports. The sales executives do not have access to the organisation network and receive the SWF files by email.
The data required for preparation of SWF is updated in excel files depending on geography by a macro. This data is to be imported in XLF and SWF output is required which can be mailed to users.
At present we have more than 100 geographies. Can anyone please suggest if there is any way in which either the SWF or XLF can consume the data from excel and a new SWF file can be saved.
We have tried XML data connections and XML-Excel maps. But for XML data connection the sales executives have to be connected to network. The executives download all the content from emails and view them offline. Hence XML data connection is ruled out.
For XML-Excel maps it wont be possible to refresh more than 100 files manually and we would be still be stuck with the process of exporting output to SWF and saving it.
Please suggest if anyone has any other ideas on working on this.
