treemap: keeping positions of areas stable

Hi,

I have a dashboard with a treemap. Furthermore, I have a fisheye picture menu where users can change the year. The problem is, that as users are scrolling through the years, sometimes the areas shown in the treemap jump: in one year, two areas exchange their position, or areas that are next to each other are suddenly on top of each other and so on, making it hard to find patterns over the years.

Is there a way to keep the position of the areas more stable?
